Timothy Goebel Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 24, 2012.
Timothy J. Goebel, age 63, of Kissimmee, Florida lost his final battle with cancer on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 6:57 a.m. Tim was a construction superintendent for Hardin Construction, LLC. Prior to that he worked for Skanska USA Building Inc., Gray Construction Co. Inc., A.D. Arnold Co., and Ruby Builders. Tim was passionate about racing and was an avid fisherman. During his final months, he enjoyed fishing with his grandson, Jager, whom he affectionately referred to as "the bass master."

Tim loved life, and those blessed to know him knew just how much. Tim loved his family, anything to do with cars, fishing, and just a good old debate with someone about anything! He might act upset or aggravated at someone or something, but he never really was and never held a grudge. We were blessed to have known him.

Tim and his wife, Sharon, spent 17 happy years together. In addition to Sharon, Tim leaves behind his parents, James (Joan) Goebel of Temperance, Michigan and Patricia Paupard of Hobe Sound, Florida; his daughter, Carrie (Mike) Hammer of Gulf Breeze, Florida; his step-children, Sharroll (Paul) Fanslau of Pembroke, Georgia, Doug (Becky) Macks of Kissimmee, Florida, Tracey (Robert) Nelson of Tampa, Florida, and Andy (Jennifer) Macks of Billings, Montana.

Tim also leaves behind 15 grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Eva Elizabeth Hammer, Miranda Fanslau, Tony Macks, Kylee Macks, Rachel Macks, Riley Macks, Reith Macks, Tyler Macks, Jager Hodges, Savanna Nelson, Jurny Nelson, Siana Nelson, Taylor Macks, Ally Macks, and Trudy (Ronnie) Templeton. He also leaves behind his four-legged best friend, Rufus.

Tim also leaves behind 3 brothers, Mark (Anne Cremar) Goebel of Maumee, Ohio, Chris (Melissa Zeilinski) Goebel of Erie, Michigan, and Scott Goebel of Hobe Sound, Florida; a sister, Laura (Rick Flum) McClure of Morrisville, Pennsylvania; two aunts, Nancy (and the late Donald "Bud") Feak of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Jeanne Feak of Sarasota, Florida; one uncle, John (Connie) McHugh of Maumee, Ohio; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas P. Goebel.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 6 - 9 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home and Crematory.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Mike Towler officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

I know it has been a year since my Dad passed away, but I wanted to thank everyone who posted here. It took me this long to visit this page but it made me feel better to read everyone posts. I miss my Dad, alot. He always helped me with anything I asked him to. My vw never would have lasted as long as it did without all of his help.
