TIMOTHY JOLLIFF
KENTON — Timothy L. Jolliff went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 9, 2015 and to visit with family and friends who went before.
He was born on April 17, 1945 to Chester and Thelma Jolliff. On October 25, 1964, he married Susan Pfeiffer who survives and they were married for 50 years.
Tim was a loving father to his three children, Traci (Rob) Deckling, Tom (Stephanie) Jolliff and Terry (Heidi) Jolliff. He adored his seven grandchildren, Cam and Cassie Deckling, Madisen, Mekenzie and Masen Jolliff and Brady and Izzy Jolliff. Tim had a wonderful sister, Peggy (Fred) Eckel and several nieces and nephews. Tim was preceded in death by
his parents, Chet and Thelma Jolliff.
Tim was a veteran of the United States Army serving as a chaplain's assistant during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a farmer for 40 years and also had his own plumbing and electrical business where he was active
until late September.
Tim was a lifelong member of Walnut Grove Church where he served on various committees. Tim was a 20 year 4-H advisor, past member of the Hardin County Fair Board, past board member of the Hardin Soil and Water Conservation District, on the Board of the Blanchard River Maintenance and a member of the Blanchard Township Zoning Board.
Tim was an active Mason where he served as Education Officer and Master of Dunkirk Lodge 549. He served as District Deputy Grand Master to the 10th District and was Grand Tyler of the Grand Lodge of Ohio. He was also the
advisor to the 10th District. Tim had the honor of becoming a 33 Degree Mason. Tim was also active in the Scottish Rite where he served as Thrice Potent Master of the MI-A-MI Lodge of Perfection and was a board member of
the Scottish Rite in Toledo. Tim was active in the Hardin County Shrine Club where he served as President and Treasurer.
Tim's favorite times were with family and friends woodworking, fishing, football, cattle shows and the Hardin County Fair.
Funeral services for Timothy L. Jolliff will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeffrey Waite officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service in Dunkirk Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME and one hour prior (10:00 – 11:00 a.m.) to the funeral service at the church.
Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Walnut Grove United Methodist Church or the Hardin County Shrine for use at the Shriner's Hospitals. I was pleased to have had the honor of knowing RWB Jolliff...besides being a fellow Mason..he was a great friend. Always loved spending time with him. He will be missed.
