Timothy "Coach" Wayne Oshie, 56, of Everett, in the presence of his loved ones passed away on May 4, 2021, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.
Timothy was born on July 23, 1964 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Alvin "Buster" Oshie and Carol Jean Oshie (Bellanger-Hardy). After Alvin passed away in 1971, Timothy was raised by his mother, Carol and her husband, Richard Oshie. He grew up as a youth in Anoka, MN and moved to Everett, WA in 1977. Timothy attended Cascade High School in Everett, WA and graduated in 1982. He attended Everett Community College and graduated with an AAS degree in Communications. His accolades include writing for the school paper, Student of the Year award and playing on the Men's Basketball team, where many lifelong friendships began. On July 12, 1986, he married Tina Oshie (Moen). They raised two sons, Timothy "TJ" Leif and Taylor Mychal Richard; and one daughter, Tawni Lin. Timothy started his business, "Oshie Sports and Entertainment" and stayed busy running many youth basketball, hockey and inline-hockey tournaments. He was a mentor in many facets, coaching kids at Seattle Junior Hockey Association and worked numerous years for the Mukilteo Boys & Girls Club.
In 2002, he moved to Warroad, Minnesota with his sons TJ and Taylor. In 2003, his second daughter, Aleah Rae was born. He worked in the Indian Education program for Warroad and stayed busy with Oshie Karaoke and coaching the Warrior Boys hockey teams. Timothy enjoyed traveling and watching the Fighting Sioux, St. Louis Blues, and Washington Capitals hockey teams, where he made lifelong friendships and gained notoriety as "Coach".
In 2012, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and shortly after, returned to Everett to live with family.
"Coach" was known for his catch phrases, on-demand jokes and Eric Church karaoke renditions. He had a contagious laugh and jubilant presence about him and could capture an audience with his humor and storytelling. In his 56 years on earth, he touched the lives of hundreds of kids through coaching and mentoring and made more friends than most could in a lifetime. His passions were his children, grand-children, family and friends.
Timothy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Richard and Carol Oshie; his sisters, Marilyn Oshie-Dorr and Stacy Oshie; nephew, Cory Baudry; and nephew in-law, Stephen Maruchanian. He is survived by his sister, Pami Baudry (Everett, WA); brother, Michael Oshie (Everett, WA) his girlfriend, Kathy Katz (Everett, WA); former wife, Tina Oshie (Everett, WA); sons, TJ (Lauren) Oshie (Maclean, VA), Taylor Oshie (Everett, WA); and daughters, Tawni Oshie (Everett, WA) and Aleah Oshie (East Grand Forks, MN). His grandchildren, Lyla, Leni and Campbell Oshie (Maclean, VA); niece, Crystal Baudry (Marysville, WA); and great-nieces, Lux and Remi Baudry-Maruchanian (Marysville, WA); and special friend, Heather Lizakowski (East Grand Forks, MN).
Timothy will also be missed dearly by his tribe of uncles, aunts, cousins and countless friends. Funeral services will be announced at a later date. "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Psalms 23:6.

Although I never met Timothy Oshie, I can tell they he really loved his family and took care of them really well. He brought up his kids to be kind, good-hearted people who like to help others. Please know that all the Leafs fans are behind you. To the family, please know that we are here if you need an extra shoulder. We got your back. RIP Coach.

I grew up and played lots of boot hockey, basketball and baseball, football with Tim growing up(Ramsey, MN) His family moved "Up North" in his 8th grade. We were so lucky to talk on phone at holidays and many times between his son TJ's games! Talked after he won the "cup". He will be missed by all that knew him. My Mother was born on the Rez too so we had lots in common. With my deepest sympathy and prayers for his family!
