Timothy Michael Rasmusson, 26, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014.

Tim was born Oct. 27, 1987, in Rochester, to Steven and Jacqueline (Wright) Rasmusson. He was a 2006 graduate of Century High School, and then went on to Winona State and graduated in 2010 from Dakota County Technical College. After graduation, Tim started working for The People's Energy Cooperative.

Tim was a true sportsman and enjoyed hunting, traditional archery and fishing. He had a love for music, playing his acoustic guitar and watching all his favorite teams, the Vikings, Twins and the Wild. Tim was so many things to so many people. Tim always took the time to give back by always being the first to volunteer his time and talents. Tim was fun, loving, a true gentleman, intelligent and had a large circle of friends and family that loved him and looked up to him. Above all, Tim was an incredible son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.

Tim is survived by his parents, Steve and Jackie Rasmusson; sisters, Carlie and Jenna Rasmusson; grandparents, Lowell and Joanne Wright and Della Rasmusson; and his beloved dog, Bailey. Tim is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Mark (Ladonna Knott) Wright, Michael (Lisa) Wright, Mary (Wes) Clark, Joyce (Marv) Clark, Lyla (John) Hagemeister, Linda Rasmusson, Gail (Roger Staloch) Rasmusson, Glenn (Sharon) Rasmusson and Marty Rasmusson; numerous cousins; and a host of other family and friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lee Rasmusson.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place N.W., Rochester.

A memorial service to celebrate Tim's life will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Christ United Methodist Church, 400 Fifth Ave. S.W., Rochester, with the Rev. Michael Wuehler officiating. Family will also receive friends at the church from 2 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.

Danielle and I were Tim's neighbors to the west. We have only been in Rochester for under a year, but Tim was always a great neighbor. He was always friendly and helpful anytime we had the pleasure of running into him ,and was quick to invite us over. He also bailed us out more than a couple times this winter with his snow blower. We are truly sorry for this news and your family and friends will be in our thoughts and prayers.

If there is anything at all we can help with (yard work, Bailey, or anything), please let us know.

Jackie, Steve and family: I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Timmy when he was born. We went crib shopping together at JC Penney! Oh how I feel for you during this hard time. I hope to meet up with you sometime soon so we can talk. Hugs to you all.
