Tim Shane, I want to thank you for the privilege to be a part of Troop 201. Your guidance lead me to become an Eagle Scout. Your smile will be missed. I will forever treasure the adventure in Scouting with you. Rest in Peace and I salute you Mr Tim Shane

Tim should be the one that I was proud for his hardworking as a Scoutmaster teaching the boys the way they should become and made my cousin, Scott one of his most valuable Eagle Scout among with few other Boy Scouts whom also earned their Eagle. And for his big open heart to welcome the boys into his forever home as a single father....18 boys.
Tim, may you Rest In Peace eternally as the Eagle soars away into the beautiful orange sky as the sun sets. Scout salutes....

I first met Tim at NCSD in 1980 when he taught our Lenoir-Rhyne teacher training class in Audio/Visual techniques. He has touched so many lives over the years. He will be missed.

Tim loved the students that he worked with at WPCC. He was a very caring, giving man that enjoyed his time on earth. He will be greatly missed. Susan Ingram (Morganton)

Family and friends,
So many good memories are still intact. When I first arrived in Morganton and started my career at NCSD in 1975, Tim was one of the first to greet me and welcome me. I served as an assistant scoutmaster with him and learned so many valuable life lessons. His home at that time was at Lake James and it was always open to visitors. I couldn't have asked for a better mentor and friend. May God grant those close to him as special peace during this time of grieving.

My Scoutmaster, friend & coworker at NCSD, I will miss you chatting & walking in the hallway at NCSD High School with your contagious smile. Thank you for inspiring me to become an Eagle Scout as well as a leader of the Deaf Community. You were a role model to many former & current NCSD students. Rest In Peace & Scout salute!

Thank you Mr.Tim Shane for all you have done for many of us in our lives at NCSD and outside in personal life. Thank you for giving me the privilege of giving me a chance in the Boy Scouts and to become a Eagle Scout. I will never forget our trips to your home state of Texas. Thank you for teaching me and become the man I am now. You were a good man and may you Rest In Peace Mr.Tim Shane.
