Timothy Wahlberg Obituary
Tim was born in Rochester on Aug. 26, 1964. Tim graduated from Mayo High School. He attended the Rocky Mountain School of Art in Colorado, where he obtained his certificate and training to be a graphic artist. Tim lived in California for some time, where he met his ex-wife Diana. They moved back to Rochester so Tim could open his own business, Midwest Signtech. He operated Midwest Signtech for many years, and was a very skilled and successful sign-writer and graphic artist. Tim had a son Aston, and later divorced. He moved to North Carolina to be closer to his son, where he also continued using his talent doing signs and lettering. Tim moved back to his home of Rochester about a year ago, as that is where all his close friends and some family members are, and Tim needed to be closer to the Mayo Clinic for assistance. Tim was a member of the Autumn Ridge Church.
Tim loved everything motorized. He grew up riding dirt bikes and proudly used the number 64. He also enjoyed go-carting and riding snowmobiles, street bikes and boating. He even attempted to have his son's middle name changed to "Speed"; for those of you who know Tim, this comes as no surprise. He enjoyed driving his remote control boat that had a custom paint job (of course) and raced remote control trucks for some time. Tim also used to play in a bowling league, and he loved to watch his Vikings play football on Sundays — no matter what state he was living in!
Tim is survived by his son Aston, uncle John and aunt Linda; as well as his niece Licolle; nephew Mark; cousins Erin, Tracy and Lewis; and great-niece Natalie.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Carol Wahlberg; sister Christine Malark; maternal grandparents Alice and Melvin, and paternal grandmother Miriam; and his beloved Golden Retriever, Moto.
A memorial for Tim will be on Saturday, May 21, at Autumn Ridge Church, Rochester, at 10:30 a.m. in the Timothy Chapel. There will be a reception immediately following at the church.

Tim, you were our son-in-law for 10 years. We will always remember the good times we had, both in California, and while visiting you in Minnesota. You were always very hospitable to us, and we especially looked forward to your delicious omelets you used to make, and seeing your wonderful accomplishments in your sign shop. There is comfort knowing you are now with your beloved Moto, the "shop dog", who I always looked forward to seeing when you brought him into my school office while on your daily walks. Rest and ride in peace, Tim.
