Tina Fausnaught Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 24, 2014.
Tina Louise Fausnaught, 52, of Rochester, passed away Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, due to injuries sustained after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 1, at noon at Christ United Methodist Church, 400 Fifth Ave. S.W. in Rochester, with Pastor Nancy Wheeler Handlon officiating.

Tina was born April 4, 1962, in Bloomsburg, PA. She grew up in the outskirts of the Bay Area in California, DeWitt, IA, and Austin, MN, and had currently resided in Rochester, MN.

She had an associate's degree in medical record keeping. She loved engaging with others in conversation, sharing her life unconditionally while extending her heartfelt compassion to help others in need or simply to bring joy to their day. Tina spent many hours volunteering and caring for others through Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester. Socializing and helping others brought her great joy and satisfaction. She participated in numerous functions and events through groups, including Bill W., that supported others, as well as her own health and wellness, such as hours spent at the YMCA.

Tina's hobbies included collecting novelties, candles, shopping, gardening, flowers, listening to music or anything pertaining to nature or water.

Her presence and outgoing personality were known to many, especially if children or animals were involved. Tina especially enjoyed spending time snuggling or walking her dog, Bella Rose, who she referred to as her "soul mate." She especially loved sharing stories of her daughter, Angelique, and grandson, Cole, whom she adored. Tina loved her family with all her heart, never withholding her love and always telling them how much she loved them. Her favorite salutation was, "I Love You, Forever, To Infinity and Beyond!" "Hugs and Kisses!"

Tina is survived by her daughter, Angelique (Chris) Henson, Leesville, LA; grandson, Cole Kunch; siblings, Peggy (Jim) Bridwell, Palm Desert, CA; Shirley Hickman, Portland, OR; Paul Fausnaught, Portland, OR; Terrance (Kathi) Fausnaught, Grand Mound, IA; and Kimberly (Greg) Schiltz, North Aurora, IL; 2 nieces; 11 nephews; numerous cousins; aunts and uncles; and grandparents, Peggy Vasvari and Ruth Smith.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tom (Ruth) Fausnaught, Albert (Lusie) Otto, Raymond Smith and William Vasvari; and her parents, Ralph (Rosemary) Fausnaught and Ruth (Donald) Smith.

The family requests remembrances or memorials be made in her name to Pathway's; Women's Shelter; a domestic violence center in your local community; or preferred place of worship that supports assisting women in need.

A memorial will be planned at a later date to celebrate her life with immediate family, per her wishes and dream to someday return to the mountains and rivers of California, where she spent a great deal of time and held many happy memories.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Tina's friends, social contacts and the multiple organizations that believed in her, helping her set goals and assisting in her path to wellness. We are forever grateful. We are touched by how many people expressed their love for her, taking the time to share with us how they were touched by her lively and embracing spirit.

My friendship with Tina was a treat. We could go awhile without seeing each other and then pick right up. She would light up a room with her presence. Heaven has a new and bright angel indeed.
