Todd Dean Obituary
Born May 15, 1963 in Athens, he was the son of Larry E. and Karen L. Linscott Dean.
He was a 1981 graduate of Federal Hocking High School and received his bachelor's degree from Ohio University. He was owner of Affordable Cyc Walls, Todd Dean Filmworks and Growin' Up in the 70's Museum. He was a former Production Designer for SOS Productions in Columbus and was prop master on the movie Touchback.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sheri; son, Todd "Eddie" (Vanessa) Dean; grandson, Carter Dean; brother, Sean (Connie) Dean; sister, Heather (Jeff) Frost; and his service dog, Tux.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in Amesville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Todd got me my first freelance job which started me off on my career. He taught me so much and I loved his low key, behind the scenes demeanor. I am completely shocked and saddened. He helped me when my son died by giving me a book about near death experiences -- to this day I believe in some sort of afterlife. it has comforted me all these years later. I believe Todd is now residing in an ultimate reality, in the light of love. To Eddie and all his family, I am so sorry.

Todd was an inspiration to many children when he was in 4-H and served many roles including camp counselor, junior leader, mentor and friend. He was always dependable, honorable and was always willing to play a prank or two. Those were his best traits that I remember. Obviously, he was an outstanding family man and loved the music industry. He left his mark on every community he was in, touched many lives and was great man inside and out. He will be sadly missed but rest assured, he is in a better place where he suffers no more. My prayers are with the family, friends and all those who were blessed to know him! Thanks be to God

Larry, Karen, Sean and Heather, I don't know what to say. I have such great memories of spending time at your house with my friend Sean and the rest of your family. Todd was always so kind to me and he would 'allow' Sean and I to check out his room and all the memorabilia it contained from strobe lights, disco balls, KISS dolls, dragons breath, etc. The world has lost a great one in Todd Dean. I met Todd at SOS and we became friends. He was always a level-headed guy that knew what to do and when to do it. I am thoroughly shocked to hear of his passing. He has left us before his time. I saw him last a couple of years ago in Logan. His son, Eddie, was born just before my son, Andy, was born. I wish we each could speak with him before he left us and tell him how much we have enjoyed being his friend. He is missed.
