Todd Saulsbury Dolan

Todd S. Dolan, Charlotte, NC died September 26, 2022 at the age of 79. Todd was born in Ridgley, MD in 1943. He leaves behind a daughter, Christine D. Atwell (J.T.) of Raleigh, NC, and a son Jeffrey Dolan (Meredith) of Charlotte, NC along with five grandsons, Pierce (Aliayah), Mason, Davis, Jackson, Draden, and one granddaughter, Oliva and a great granddaughter, Presley, all of whom he loved dearly. Also surviving him are his sister, Anne L. Dolan of Greensboro, NC, brother-in-law Robert Eastman, Marco Island, FL and a number of cousins in the Saulsbury family. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Leo Dolan Jr. and his younger sister, Susan Eastman.

Todd grew up in Florham Park, NJ and then moved his family to North Carolina in the late 70's. He spent most of his life in Greensboro and then moved to Bristol, TN and then back to NC in 2020 and settled in Charlotte earlier this year. Todd worked for IBM for 30 years and during his career there he earned their prestigious Eagle Award in sales. He also worked for Osprey Systems and CA after his career with IBM.

Todd was affectionately known as "Papa T" by his grandchildren and he had a special relationship with each one of them. He was very proud of them all and you could hear it in his voice and see it in his eyes whenever he spoke of them. He was also an avid golfer for most of his life and he cherished the friendships that he had with his golf buddies at Greensboro Country Club and the memories they made on their golf trips in and around the state.

A funeral service will be held for Todd at the Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Funeral Home at 300 W. Wendover Ave in Greensboro on Saturday Oct. 15th 12:30-1:30 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at Proximity Hotel from 2:00-4:00 p.m. for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) are appreciated.
