Todd Landon Black

Todd Landon Black passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2024 in Santa Barbara, CA, where he has lived and worked for the last 10 years. Although Todd left this earth way too soon, we rejoice that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It also brings us great comfort, and we are so proud, that he chose the gift of Organ Donation and will bless many lives; his legacy will live on in others!

Todd was a one-of-a-kind, best friend to many. In whatever town he lived in, beginning in Santa Cruz, Ojai, Carson City, San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, LA, and finally in Santa Barbara, he never knew a stranger. He made everyone feel important.

In his short 40 years, Todd lived life to the fullest. He was always looking to try something new. He loved to play baseball as a kid, and recently you would often find him at the batting cages. He was never without his skateboard and took every opportunity he could to show and teach young kids "how it's done," without being cocky. He also loved to surf and charge the waves with his dad whenever he could.

Todd was a creative soul and a hard worker. In his 20s, he moved to LA and pursued modeling and acting; he even wrote a screen play. He was developing various inventions; such as a treatment for skin cancer, and a self-driving car (before Tesla). He had plans to start a skate shoe company so he could design his own skate shoes. He had property in Big Bear he was in the midst of developing into a boutique hotel. He built numerous custom homes and loved being a general contractor.

Todd was always up for an adventure. He loved to travel and was working toward getting his pilots license for both airplanes and helicopters.

Todd was about to fulfill his life-long dream of being a family man. He was to be married to the love of his life, Devin Cook, on March 16. They are expecting a baby girl in September.

Todd is survived by his Fiancée Devin Cook (Santa Barbara); his son, Arthur (Maryland); parents, Corinne and Larry Black (Morro Bay); brother Nathan (Tokyo); sister and her family, Jana and Josh Blacksmith, Sage

and Scarlet (Los Osos); and brother Nolan. Also his two grandmothers, aunts and uncles, and ALL his beloved cousins.
