Todd McLean

On Tuesday, July 27, 2021, Todd McLean, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 78. Todd was born November 15th, 1942 and raised in Leamington, Ontario, Canada. Todd attended The University of Windsor graduating top of his Masters class in Mechanical Engineering and was awarded the Governor General's Academic Medal for outstanding achievement. He is a Canadian Air Force veteran where he Captained sub-hunters over the Atlantic from 1967-1969. Todd was a brilliant engineer with Imperial Oil and Exxon from 1969 through 2001. Todd moved from Canada to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1991 achieving his dream of living in a warm, lush climate in the United States. He obtained his private pilot's license and spent 12 years passionately building his own airplane. Todd loved nothing more than his family, and for 30 years never missed his Sunday morning call with his daughter. He faithfully walked his dogs on White Oak Landing trails every day, and never missed an evening bowl of Blue Bell vanilla ice cream. His strong hands, ingenuity, beaming smile, infectious laugh, and kind, compassionate spirit will be deeply missed. Todd was preceded in death by his father Ennis, and mother Enid. He is survived by his wife Dianne, his three children, Kathy, James, and Alex, and five grandchildren.
