Todd Petrowski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 29, 2026.
Mantua - Todd Allen Petrowski, 65 years of age, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 with his wife by his side at their residence in Shalersville Township, Ohio, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 18, 1960, in Shalersville Township to Harry and Janie (Baker) Petrowski, who preceded him in death. Todd graduated from Maplewood Joint Vocational School in Ravenna, Ohio (Crestwood High School student) in 1979 from the Agricultural Industrial Mechanics program. He worked and was respected in the commercial trucking industry for 45 years, mostly as an operations manager at several national and local trucking companies. Todd understood the business of trucking and could fix anything with a motor. Later in his career, he transitioned into sales. Todd was an avid golfer and won many league championships in the local golf league with his partners. He was famous for his competitive spirit and tenacious play, and was always excited to take several out-of-state golf trips each year with his friends. He had a quick wit, wonderful personality, and a super sense of humor; he loved to reminisce about old times with his friends and was famous for telling a great story in his unique way. Todd enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and loved traveling. He and his wife Judi, traveled all over the US and Canada on it, visiting friends and sightseeing. The last 5 years, they traveled with their travel trailer. His favorite times at home were spent on his John Deere tractor, improving what he called the "little farm" and fishing in his small boat on the "little lake". Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Judi Petrowski, and his loyal dog, Gizmo. Step-daughters Tonya Thompson (Stow, OH), Tiffany Lough (Ravenna, OH), and Cicely Lange (Streetsboro, OH). Grand-daughter Rheagan Thompson (Stow, OH), who was the light of his life. Sisters Sandy Updegrove Streetsboro, OH) and Judy Williams (Ormond Beach, FL). Niece Katie Warner (San Jose, CA) and Nephew Adam Williams (Tacoma, WA). Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donation may be given in Todd's name to The First Baptist Church of Garrettsville, 7656 State Route 82, Garrettsville, OH 44231.

It is hard to say the words or write them about a man who put up a fight like no other. He did it with courage knowing the outcome. So Todd the fight is over. Now rest in peace with the Lord. I'll miss you my friend

Words can´t even describe how much you meant to Rheagan and I! We were so fortunate and grateful to have you in our lives. We are so sorry that this evil disease was in your body and took you from us. We love you and miss you so much! Hugs and kisses to you in heaven. May the Lord hold you in his loving arms for eternity

Todd was a wonderful man and we got to share some great stories together. I´m glad I got to know him pretty good , even if it was for only the last 10 years of his life. He will be truly missed.Good luck with the fishing up there RIP

Todd was a few years behind me at Crestwood High School, so I got to know him later. He was a very good man. Todd will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of being in his life.
