Tom Ellis Obituary
November 14, 1961 - January 20, 2021
Thomas "Tom" Brian Ellis passed away unexpectedly, while cave diving, January 20, 2021 in Ginnie Springs, Florida. Tom attended South Pasadena High School and graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara. He is a cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Known for his larger than life spirit and lively personality, Tom was curious, full of wisdom and care, eager to offer his ear to those in need, and committed to continuing his spiritual practice. Tom was an active member of many groups and communities in the Valley and around the country. He was a supporter and confidant to many and will be deeply missed by his many friends, family and wife.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Tom and Peggy Ellis. He is survived by his wife, Shireen (Arensmeier) Ellis; son, Tom (Andrea) of Roseville, CA; son, Brian (Whitney) of Oakland, CA; son, Nathan of Knoxville, TN; three grandsons Thomas Jaxson, Maverick and Brecken Ellis of Roseville, CA; sister, Mary Ellis of Mystic CT; brother, Randy Ellis of San Dimas CA; brother, Pete Ellis of Lonetree, CO.
A memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance.
