James Saterfiel Obituary
Private Family Services for Dr. James Louis Saterfiel, Jr., 61, of Monroe, will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum chapel with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Entombment will be in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Dr. Saterfiel passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was a radiologist with Radiology Associates Group at St. Francis Medical Center and a member of North Monroe Baptist Church. Dr. Saterfiel was a man who lived with integrity and love.
Dr. Saterfiel was preceded in death by his parents, James Lewis Saterfiel and Faye Batey Saterfiel.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hovarter Saterfiel; son, Bradley James Saterfiel; daughter, Katherine Ann Saterfiel, all of Monroe; aunt, Sara and James Ellis Kilpatrick; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Tucker, Dorothy Kelley, Verna Hovarter, and Stella Jones; brother-in-law, Bobby Hovarter; aunt and uncle, Sandy and Mark Brister; uncle, Ken Batey.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Scott Barron and staff at the SICU and ICU2 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or the North Monroe Baptist Church Building Fund.
