Tom Morgan

July 28, 1948 - January 20, 2025

Tom Morgan passed away on January 20, 2025, in South San Francisco, California. He was born on July 28, 1948, in San Francisco and spent most of his life in South San Francisco.

For over 40 years, Tom worked as a painting and drywall contractor before retiring in 2002. Like his father, John Morgan, he proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Tom was married to Beverly Schutz Morgan of Redwood City for 43 years. Together, they shared a love of music-Tom played guitar while Bev sang, performing oldies from the 1940s through the 1970s. Their bond was filled with love, laughter, and music from the time they met in Redwood City in 1979.

A passionate vintage racer, Tom spent two decades each racing a 1959 MGA and a 1956 Morgan at road race tracks. He was not only an accomplished racer but also a skilled driving coach and mechanic.

Tom is survived by his wife, Bev; daughters Adrian Morgan LeQue and Susan Morgan DeMorest; and grandchild Zephyr Morgan Morason. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Doris Morgan; his brother, Jere Morgan; and his granddaughter, Mariah.

Tom's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

I´ve known Tom and Bev through our involvement as officials for car and motorcycle racing. Tom was one of our Safety Car drivers for the pro-motorcycle races at Laguna Seca for well over a decade and I also got to enjoy him driving one of his cars at CSRG races. You will live on in my memories with the laughter, singing and the fun bench racing and enjoying you strumming your guitar and the two of you singing literally every song requested down at worker camping. Rest at Speed Tom!

I worked at Early American Paint in So. S.F. and that is how I met Tom. He was always very friendly when he came into the store. I remember he and his crew (Morgan Painting) got selected to go to Honolulu, Hawaii to paint the first See's Candy store that was built there. (See's signature black and white color). Tom was very excited to be going there.
My condolences to his wife and daughters. May Tom rest in peace.

Tom was a fun man to know. I always enjoyed visiting with him when he came to visit Wisconsin. I enjoyed listening to him play music and tell stories of his life's adventures. Rest in Peace, Dear Friend. You will be missed by us here in Minnesota. My condolences to all of Tom's family, especially my close friends Adrian, Kevin and Zephyr.
