Tom you and most certainly your witness and testimony for God's bold. We need you today with the all that is going on in the world today.
However, your right where God wants you....with Him. I remember watching and listening to you on the Lawrence Welk show and I still have your albums.
I would tell to rest in Peace, but I don't think Heavens going a peaceful home. Praising God, all the joy of being loved ones again. I so look forward to being there with you!

Tom, you are greatly missed by many of the fans you had in your career. My only regret was that when I was in High School and visited Los Angeles with my parents I never thought of finding out how to get tickets to the Lawrence Welk Show. Wish I had now. I still watch the show today and love Milestones and Memories. It was a great way to pay tribute to all those Lawrence Welk Singers. Wish you were still with us.

I grew up watching Tom on the Lawrence Welk show (like I think most of us did). My wife and I met him and Mr. Welk at the Medora Musical, Medora, North Dakota. I believe this is where Mr. Welk found Tom and brought him back to his show. I am sorry to hear of Mr. Netherton's passing, but he knew his Lord and I know we will see him again. RIP and thank you for some beautiful gospel songs that you left.

Golden hair, golden voice. He was just amazing.

Tom and I shared a cubicle at Infantry Officer Candidate School, 84th OCS Company (Class OC 50-67), Fort Benning, GA from March 15 until we graduated August 31, 1967. There was no kinder, gentler, God-fearing soldier I ever met in my 20 1/2-years of service in the Army and that includes Chaplains. When we graduated, I guess Tom was assigned to Panama and me to Fort Bliss, TX. We never saw each other again but I kept up with his career off and on over the past 50+ years, less frequently lately. Yesterday I learned of his passing more than 2 1/2-years ago; shocked and saddened but happy that he's with the Lord where he rightfully belongs.

In watching all the re-runs of Lawrence Welk I appreciate that show a whole lot more then i did in my teens and early 20's. And Tom stood out. What a nice looking wholesome gorgeous man with equal voice to match. I just found out he passed away, then saw he was my age too. He was very gifted . I will continue to watch the program and for sure make more of a special interest in listening to his beautiful voice. Singing with the very best now for sure where he is now. Bless you.

I had the honor of meeting Tom in Branson MO when he was with the Welk Theater. I couldn't believe how tall he was in person! He took the time to take pictures and sign autographs and it was one of the happiest times I have had in Branson. Hope he is singing to the Lord in glory! He is very much missed!

I had hoped to send Birthday wishes, so I was deeply saddened to see Tom's death notice. I had the pleasure of seeing Tom perform numerous times at the Champagne Theater in Branson, MO. Those times are precious memories. Our world is darker but heaven is all the brighter! To borrow from the theme song at the end of the Lawrence Welk shows, "He will always remain in our hearts". May it bring comfort to his family to know that there are many who share in their grief, may they feel God's presence daily!

I had the pleasure of bringing Tom in concert to Seattle in 1981 for a few performances and had the honor of accompanying him on the piano. I was in complete awe of his voice, his ability to entertain and of him as a brother. Was a very special time! You are a beautiful soul, Tom and are truly missed.

My Mother now in Heaven and I saw Tom at the Lawrence Welk studio in CA. Tom was singing at a church in Denver where she lived. She has terminal cancer and fast losing her battle. She wanted to hear Tom so badly. I took her there and he visited with both of us. The very next day I took her to the hospital where she passed away. I heard one of his songs on the radio yesterday on my way to church. I just googled him and learned of his passing. Now hes singing for my Mother in Heaven. God bless his family.

"something" prompted me to check Tom's name online tonight. I m so very sorry to hear of his passing. My mother and I always watched Lawrence Welk and for me..mostly because of Tom. I remember dancing with him at a show in Montreal Quebec and he sang to me at a local Fair in Vermont USA. I was so thrilled ! Still have a picture of us together at that one.
May he rest in peace. Will love him for ever....Joyce Proctor Quebec Canada

I was so VERY heartbroken to hear of Tom's passing. I had the privilege of meeting him a few times during his time on the Lawrence Welk show......he was and always will be my very favorite. I believe I saw him in person 3 or 4 different times and was able to talk with him on several of those occasions, and he was one of the kindest, sweetest men I ever met......to say nothing of how very handsome he was. I was looking for him on the internet about a year ago, to see if I could find anything recent about him, when I stumbled on the news, then just found the guest book to offer condolences today. His love for Jesus certainly shined through in his personality, and his music......what a beautiful baritone voice he had!
Blessings to all of his family, and know that he is very missed by those of us who enjoyed seeing him every week on Lawrence Welk
Heaven certainly has gained another beautiful voice!

My late mother (1927-2012) and I watched the show all the time and as she was from West Virginia originally we were excited that Tom was in Berkeley Springs. We never got up there as we were way out of the state but I'm back now and was wondering about Tom. So sorry to hear he has passed away but he is with his beloved God and Jesus. May he never be forgotten.

My sister and I were just watching LW last night with our 96 yo father. When Tom came on I was reminded how much I liked him as a young teenager, I thought he was so very talented and that face! I owned a copy of his autobiography but after many moves I no longer have it. He is missed but I know we will see him again. I'm so glad to hear by all these testimonials that he was as good a person as he appeared to be on the show. God bless his friends and family.

TOM NETHERTON WAS MY BEST FRIEND. HE WAS MY DAUGHTER'S GODFATHER. My and Heidi-Marie Ferren's hearts are totally broken. Our friendship and love will never die. Tom was the nicest man I have ever known. He was a humble beautiful Christian man. Heidi-Marie loved him so much and he loved her too. He promised to walk her down the aisle when she gets married and always wore the ring we got him onstage. He tried to go to our shows and we went to his when we could. Our hearts are broken over his loss. We'll see you soon, Tom, in Heaven. Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the whole Netheron Family.
