Tommy Cody Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 21, 2025.
Tommy Cody, 63, passed away on March 8, 2025, in Allen, Texas, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Born on November 29, 1961, in Dalhart, Texas, Tommy graduated from Dalhart High School in 1980 before continuing his education at West Texas State University. He earned a Bachelor of General Studies in 1984 and later obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1988.

Tommy was a devoted husband to his wife of 25 years, Ann Cody. He was also a loving father to his daughter, Alyssa Cody, and his son, Trey Cody. He is also survived by his brother, David Cody, and his sister, Kay Cover. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peggie and A.L. Cody.

A man of deep faith, Tommy was a dedicated member of First Baptist Richardson. His commitment to service extended beyond the church as he found joy in volunteering for local sports programs. He particularly enjoyed running chains for Ereckson Middle School football games.

Tommy had a lifelong passion for sports. Whether playing golf or cheering on his favorite teams-the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and West Texas A&M-he found great joy in the camaraderie and excitement that sports provided. His enthusiasm was infectious, making him a beloved presence among friends and fellow fans alike.

A memorial service will be held on March 28, 2025, at First Baptist Richardson, located at 1001 N. Central Expy in Richardson, Texas. The service will begin at 3:30 PM as family and friends gather to honor Tommy's life and legacy.
