Trim Tragedy Autumn 1994 As Autumn leaves are fallin and frost lies on the ground They all lie there a sleeping without making a solitary sound Their lives on earth are over but their memories linger on And we never will forget how they loved the craic and the sing- a long Was on a Sunday morn that they set out to have a bit of fun Let's get the stock car out now boy's and see how 100 will run And so Martin he took the checkered flag with a big cheer from his fans For to win the driver of the year was his one and only plan Now that night it was a happy one as they gathered for a jar And the lads would love their sing song down in John Darby's bar But then there was a tragedy as their car went off the road I guess God wanted them up above He had names upon his board Now five young men lie silent Tommy, Larry and Martin Costello With Steven Fitzgibbon and Martin McGee To their families what the pain must be But lads we will always remember For how could we ever forget the good times we all had together Sure we'll meet again one day yet Sadly missed and never forgotten, family, relatives and friends.
