About 5 years ago, I had the privilege of meeting Tony at a hockey game. He had the biggest smile I had ever seen.

A few months later, my son (who was 10 years old) bonded with Tony over another hockey game. Tony inspired him to shave his head and raise money for The Pediatric Cancer Foundation and The Vinny Lecavalier Foundation.

Tony was a leader, a fighter an inspiration to all. I am so proud of his accomplishments. He will be dearly missed.

Dear Connie,
Please accept my deepest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

We had the pleasure of meeting Tony in 2013, at the hospital while Faith our 13 year old daughter was going through cancer treatments. Our family was still in denial a bit and Tony came across us and said, "I don't know you, I will come get you tonight for the teen movie" His smile was big, bright, and heart warming. I will never forget that day. After that day we were able to cope with the word cancer and what we had and would be going through for the next nine months. Then, unplanned we ran into the Colton Family in Washington D.C. and had the pleasure of hanging out like normal people and just play, have fun, and enjoy each others friendship and company. That day was an unexpected blessing during our summer vacation. Tony you are one of a kind. Your love, compassion, faith, and everything about you is such a great reflection of your mother's love she share and taught you. God blessed you and now you are in heaven with him pain free and whole again. You will be missed. Love the Brown Family (Faith,Kathy, and David)

I had the pleasure of hearing Tony speak at a Big Brothers Big Sisters golf event. I had heard his story a year prior and had been following the posts. His speach was amazing - he spoke from the heart and his story was amazing. What he has given back at such a young age is amazing. He was lucky to have such a great Mom and girlfiend; along with his many friends and family. I consider myself lucky to have met him that one time and he has left a lasting impression.

Our condolences to the family. Our daughter Bethany met Tony as a fellow camper at camp boggy creek several years ago and we just heard of his passing. The kids stayed in contact and our hearts are heavy for the family. Having a child diagnosed is something no family should have to go through. We are praying for you all. God bless.

Tony you became a force to be reckoned with at 11 years old. You accepted the fight that you had no choice in choosing. But you fought with such determination and unyielding spirit that Everyone had to step in line behind you or beside you or even out of your way so you could fight this demon. You gave yourself shots and shaved your own head. The awareness you raised for pediatric cancer research was Huge. Many of us had no idea of the Just 4 problem. You inspired us to join you in educating the public and in raising funds. You never wanted sympathy..only awareness and help.
Years ago I wrote a blog that gained some traction about your fight. I then made it into a book for you. This Spring I learned that your illness was not getting better and I struggled for words. Words to sum up all you had achieved and had become. The 11 year old brave kid had grown into an incredible man of integrity, faith and inspiring influence. I realize today that your book isn't finished. Although your presence here is gone, your work, foundation and all the people you touched are merely seeds that you planted. It is up to the rest of us to nurture those seeds and see your legacy to fruition. I pray that we all become the voice, the support and the light to move this forward in your absence. Enjoy your eternal heavenly reward that you so bravely earned. My prayers to your family and tribe that meant the world to you. May the outpouring of love this week and the memories you shared together bring peace and comfort in the days ahead.

Tony, you will be sorely missed. We loved Tony for the young man he was. He always demonstrated the love of Christ in his life. What an example for other teenagers and even us older folks. His battle was hard fought but he never lost his faith which was a true testimony to the kind of young man that he was. We know that Connie was a wonderful mom and Brenden was a great brother and Tony will be greatly missed by them. Our prayers are with you both. We look forward to that day in Heaven where we can all once again see Tony's smiling face.

Tony,
In some ways, I wish we never had to meet, at least in the way that we did. Medicine and surgery couldn't cure you, and that tears me up inside. But given that we did meet, I am a better person for having been your friend. You were an inspiration to me every day. You had the ability to lead better than any other young man I have ever known. I will always hold you dear in my heart, and your picture will stay on my desk as a reminder to keep pushing the envelope for a cure.

Thank you CJ for sharing your amazing son & his journey with all of us. I enjoyed watching all the things he did & accomplished. He touched so many lives. People from everywhere love him and your family. He was truly a blessing. Tony accomplished more in his 17 years than most people twice or three times his age. I am sorry for you tremendous loss. Thank for allowing me to follow his journey. May God bless you all and give you peace & comfort.Prayers for his precious girlfriend Vanessa.

Tony,
Where do I even start? I hope you know just how much you meant to me. We went from being great friends with a super special bond to more like siblings. I considered you my adopted little bro and I don't quite know how to move on from you not being here anymore. I am so glad you are finally pain and cancer free and dancing and singing in the streets of heaven but selfishly, I wanted that for you here on this earth. It just won't be the same without you. Whose going to spill hot wax all over my floor, pretend like they are smoking from my diffuser, wrestle and pillow fight with me, make fun of my organic food, and use the air mattress blower to make crazy faces? I could go on and on. Our memories and fun times are something I hold so near and dear to my heart. I promise to keep fighting on your behalf. I won't stop until cancer becomes like the common cold, treatable. I don't just say this because I am biased but you were really the most amazing boy I've ever met and I thank God constantly for bringing you into my life five years ago. Your strength and positive attitude was such an inspiration. You impacted every single person that met you and now that you are in heaven, I am able to see just how big your impact really was. Gosh I miss you terribly. I love you to infinity and beyond and I CAN'T WAIT to be reunited again one day. I love you.

Tony I am so honored to have been on this journey with you. I can still remember when I first met you in clinic and then watched you grow into an outstanding young man!!! You like all our patients we care for are all amazing warriors!! We sometimes may question why things happen in life but I feel that we all have a purpose here and when God feels our time is now then we must go. But where you are now are is the best new life beginning!! I will never forget you as you brought lots of laughter to clinic from rolling around the hallways in a chair to playing doctor in the exam rooms.

I didn't have the honor of meeting Tony, but by following him and his journey through his battle to beat cancer, I felt like I knew him. No child should have to go through what these kids do daily. My niece has Infant Leukemia and is in remission. The results of all the meds for a 2 year span on a 10 month old is horrible. I pray that she has the strength and courage to be as strong as Tony was. He fought a long, hard battle and always had a smile on his face. My sympathy to his mother CJ, his girlfriend Vanessa, his siblings, family and friends. You will be missed and loved dearly. Rest In Peace Tony ❤

Not long after my 18-yr-old was diagnosed with ALL leukemia I found your story. You were one of the elite, the strongest of warriors. You remained steadfast and calm through each storm. Thank you for being an inspiration to so many other fighters! My prayers will now be for your family. You are finally "home", but their hearts are going to ache until the day that they can put their arms around you again. Save them a spot up there! Time passes by so quickly, everyone will be together again before you know it! Thanks again for being so strong and setting such an awesome example of faith! Sincerely, mom of fellow cancer warrior

Tony, you and I were born the same year - 1999. A unique year, the last of the XXth century. You were, like that year, unique. Your bravery and strength had an amazing impact on the whole world. The proof is that I know you, even though I have never met you and I live in Versailles, next to Paris, France. You were such an inspiration for all of us. My goal is to become a pediatric oncologist and I will always fight in your memory. I love you and pray for you. Rest in peace, our hero.

I never met you Tony, but after reading your obituary I wish I had. You were truly the hands and feet of Jesus here on earth, and you had many treasures to lay at His feet. When I get to heaven I hope to meet you.

Until we meet again. With love, Robyn and Armando Faucy
