Her spirit. She was so incredibly vibrant and joyful. Her sweet smile was always so genuine and made you feel right at home, no matter where you were.

Some of my fondest childhood memories are of our time on the Brazos river, camping or spending the day at Spivey's Crossing. Mom taught us how to swim across the river so that we could climb a tree that leaned out across the river. There was a rope anchored to the tree allowing us to swing out mid river and drop into the water. We loved it. One day we found a cave back off of the river and wandered around it a bit. A couple of years later it was excavated as a burial site. It was amazing to think what we might have found if we had stayed longer.
