Toni June Fields

Obituary:
Toni June Fields, born on June 5, 1940, in Cleburne, TX, passed from this earth to rejoin those who had passed before on February 11, 2024, at the age of 83 in Fort Worth, TX. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Toni was known for her loving and kind-hearted nature, always welcoming those in need at her table. She had a passion for otters and was an enthusiastic fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Her sharp wit and enthusiasms will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In her 35-year career, Toni worked in Accounts Receivable/Payable. She also held various jobs as a Waitress, Roofer, and in Metal and Woodcraft Manufacturing, but above all she was a devoted wife and mother.

Her hobbies included reading, drawing, painting, and collecting items related to: Gone with the Wind, unicorns, otters, product tins, and metal trucks. Her home was a museum display of her cherished collectibles, and family photos and keepsakes. She also enjoyed prowling Estate Sales, Garage Sales, Flea Markets, and Thrift Stores for interesting finds.

Toni is survived by her daughter Dawn "Kathy" Varner, grandsons James, Travis, and Troy Fields, granddaughters Jonne Varner-Smith, April Clark, and Alora Fields Reed, great-grandsons Jordan Fields and Jaxson Reed, and great-granddaughters Lela Varner-Dawson, Bethany Smith, and Kathrine Fields, as well as numerous extended family, and friends that she embraced wholeheartedly as family. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Fields Jr., sons James and Roy "Rusty" Fields III, grandson Jef Fields, and son-in-law Terry Varner.

A service to honor Toni's life will be held on June 8, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at her home at 5417 Vesta Farley Rd, Ft. Worth, TX 76119.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Breast Cancer Awareness, causes that were close to Toni's heart. May she rest in peace.
