Tony Cottrell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 18, 2024.
Tony Scott Cottrell, aged 54, of Fort Worth, Texas, departed this life on the 3rd of April, 2024, at his home. Born on the 25th of October, 1969, in the same city, he was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth.

Known for his amicable nature, Tony had the unique ability to engage with anyone he met, often turning acquaintances into friends. His childhood was marked by adventures on his bicycle through the streets of his neighborhood, where he was known for returning home with stray dogs that he would care for, demonstrating his innate kindness and compassion for all living creatures.

Tony's laughter was infectious, especially when he watched his beloved classic cartoons, with characters such as Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, and The Three Stooges bringing him immense joy. Elmer Fudd, in particular, could always be counted on to elicit a hearty chuckle from him.

A man of many interests, Tony found solace in the tranquility of fishing, the challenge of computer repair, and the satisfaction derived from maintaining bikes and lawn equipment. His hobbies not only brought him personal contentment but also highlighted his dexterity and enthusiasm for mechanical endeavors.

Tony leaves behind his brother, Tim Brindley; his sister Susan France and her husband Brent; his sister Amanda Sellers; his nieces Carrie Allen and Catelyn Hale; his nephews Christopher Brindley and Nicholas Brindley; and a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

His passing was preceded by that of his mother, Donna Jean Brindley Sellers; his father, Ron Harris; his stepfather, Solomon Jefferson Sellers; his uncle, Fred Arthur Brindley II; his grandmother, Luella Mae Brindley; and his grandfather, Gerald Gene Brindley.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Church Angels Funeral Home in Fort Worth, TX.

In loving memory of Tony Scott Cottrell, may he find eternal rest, and may his spirit continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
