Tony H.C. Yu Obituary
Tony's devoted love to his family and children was exemplary, and he loved spending time with his family on vacations. He loved entertaining them by singing Chinese songs and talking about the latest Korean drama that he was watching. Tony was an avid sports fan of all Boston teams, and he enjoyed playing hockey with his friends in his youth, playing tennis with his family, and regularly doing cardio and weightlifting at the gym.
He was a dear colleague and friend to many who interacted with him. With a computer engineering degree from Boston University under a full scholarship, he has been working as a software engineer at Nova Biomedical in Waltham, MA for over 30 years. His vibrant work ethics and accomplishments were well regarded. With his unexpected passing, he will be truly missed but will be fondly remembered.
Visiting hours on Monday, October 2 nd from 4 to 7pm will be held at the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home,1479 Washington Street, West Newton, MA. A burial service will start at 10am on Tuesday, October 3 rd at the funeral home, followed by a procession around 11am to Newton Cemetery on Walnut Street. I have worked with Tony at Nova Biomedical. We had long conversations about living in this country with two cultural background. I always admired his calm gentle manner. You will be lovingly remembered. I am sure your spirit will be with us. Enjoy your eternal life.

"Tony and I spent many years together at Nova Biomedical. We worked side by side while I developed the Electronic Hardware and Tony developed the Software. We clicked from day 1 and helped Nova Biomedical design and release their first Glucose Meter under the supervision and Chemistry development of the glucose strip of Dr. CC Young.. With Dr. CC Youngs direction and Chemistry design, Tony and I designed many chemistry analysis meters which is in our picture. A true friend. I miss him greatly."
