Tony START Obituary
February 2, 1953 – June 18, 2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Tony. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son Oliver, wife Dorothy, mother Frances, brother Kevin and sister Laraine. Tony arrived in Canada from Surrey, England in 1978 and attained Canadian citizenship 1985. The twinkling spirit of Tony was reflected in a multitude of ways; an avid traveller, his many talents and hobbies included birding, tennis, pickleball, gardening, woodwork and cooking. His flair and talent was boundless, much like his infectious whistle and joyous smile that he carried with him wherever he went. Tony's generous creative nature was most noted in the unreserved love he shared with his many friends at Jericho Tennis Club and Yellowpoint Lodge. The room and court was that much brighter when he arrived. A service to celebrate Tony's life will be held on Tuesday, July 4 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's (Kerrisdale) Anglican Church, 2490 W 37th Avenue, Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Tony to the B C Waterfowl Society 604-946-6980.

Oliver,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your father will be missed. I would see Tony on Collingwood Street before he moved and of course at Jericho Tennis Club. He would joyfully update me about your endeavours. I haven't seen you since you worked at Jericho. I'm sure you remember me more as your grade three teacher. You inherited your father's wonderful smile and love of life.
