Tracey Everett Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 22, 2015.
Tracey Lynn Everett was born January 18, 1968 in Hugo, to Gary and Shelia (Brittingham) Everett. Tracey passed on from this life on Monday, January 12, 2015 in Dallas, TX at the age of 46. She grew up in Moyers, and finished grade school before transferring to Antlers High School. Tracey graduated and went to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, where she completed a Bachelor of Social Work. She pursued her passion for children first by serving with CPS for both Pittsburgh and Pushmataha Counties early in her career. Tracey found her niche with the Lamar County Head Start in Paris, TX where she has served for the past 20 years, bringing her sweet smile to work everyday. Family and friends will always remember the spectacular lifestyle of love and service in which Tracey eternally flowed, never hesitating to give her time or talents for others. She was an extravagant daughter, sister, and aunt to her immediate circle of family and friends, finding unique ways to bless them with gifts that matched her devotion and affection towards each one, especially Bub and Sis. Her musical passions were evident all her life, as she gave countless hours serving her church family creating beautiful worship to her LORD Jesus Christ at many area churches and events. Tracey lived her authentic faith in such a fabulous manner that leaves us blessed beyond measure. She was preceded in death by Maternal grandparents, "Papa" and Lula Brittingham; paternal grandparents, Roy and Ola Everett; other uncles, aunts, and cousins. Tracey is survived by parents, Gary and Shelia Everett of the home; two brothers, Brian Everett and wife Brandy of Durant, and Bradley Everett of Powderly, TX; nephew, Zachary "Bub" Everett; niece, Destiny "Sis" Everett; numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins; a host of friends and church family. The family received friends Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Victory Life Church, 2600 E. Jackson St, Hugo. The celebration of life services for Tracey Lynn Everett were held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 16, 2015 at First Baptist Church, 208 Northeast B St, Antlers, with Pastor Duane Sheriff officiating Pastor Rick Smith assisting. Private burial following in the Kosoma Cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to sign the guest book or send private condolences to the family at www.mtolivefh.com.
