Travis Lee Field

Travis Lee "Tex" Field, age 36, passed away on September 29, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 16, 1989, in Junction, Texas, Travis brought a vibrant and creative spirit into the world that would define his life. A man of many talents and boundless energy, he was known for his sharp wit, deep intelligence, and unmatched work ethic. Those who knew him best remember his sarcasm and humor as much as they admired his dedication and skill.

Travis was a gifted tradesman whose craftsmanship transformed countless homes-especially bathrooms-into works of art. His hands built more than just walls and fixtures; they shaped spaces where people could find comfort and beauty. In addition to his work in renovation, Travis was a passionate tattoo artist who poured his heart into every design. His love for art extended beyond ink-he was an accomplished glassblower and spent countless hours drawing and painting.

His intellectual curiosity led him to study chemistry in college, a testament to his sharp mind and wide-ranging interests. Whether he was fishing on a quiet morning, immersed in a zombie video game, reading a new book, or watching short films late into the night, Travis embraced life with intensity and joy.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother Charlotte; his father John; his brother Garret; his fiancée Taylor; and her son Salem. Each of them carries forward the memory of a man who gave so much of himself to those he loved. He is preceeded in death by his grandparents; Phillipp and Bonnie, and Stanley and Teddie.

Celebrations of life will be held in both Michigan and Texas. Details will be shared with family and friends in the coming days.
