Surrounded by his loving family, Travis W. Neely passed to his Heavenly Home, Saturday, September 4, 2021 in Borger.
He was born April 2, 1931 in Celina, Tennessee to William Alvis and Ima Corene (Swanson) Neely. On July 30, 1952, Travis Neely and Berta Graves were married in Vernon, Texas and this blessed union has held firmly for 69 years.
Mr. Neely was a deacon at Borger Primitive Baptist Church and until his retirement, he was a fireman for the City of Borger and Phillips Petroleum.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Left behind to forever cherish his many memories is his beloved wife, Berta; 2 daughters: Connie Watson of Lubbock and Linda Neely of Borger; 1 son, Rodney Neely and wife Sallie of Borger; a sister, Myrtle Wilkens of Bakersfield, California; 5 grandchildren: John Barrett Watson, Lana Jones, Rachel Watson, Larissa Neely and Matthew Neely; 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains, 206 W. 1st Street, Borger.
Interment will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Mountain Creek Cemetery, Saint Jo, Texas.
Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Borger.
