Treasa Thomas Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 7, 2025.
Harwich - Treasa Thomas, age 90, a devoted follower of Christ, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 4, 2025.

She was the cherished wife of the late Roy F. Thomas, of Brockton, and had four children, Sean, Kathleen, Colleen, and Eileen. She was the loving grandma of six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Treasa was an accomplished writer whose stories and articles appeared in textbooks, newspapers, and magazines. She could cook, sew, knit, crochet, garden, and fix anything, all while filling her blue station wagon with her four kids and their countless friends and transporting them anywhere and everywhere they needed to go.

Treasa's passion was serving God, and she was an active member of the Heritage Christian Church in Falmouth. She was engaged in many forward-thinking charitable causes to include work in the prisons, the soup kitchens, and the Falmouth Senior Center where she started a widow's group.

Treasa learned how to play guitar at age 82, when her church choir started volunteering at a local nursing home to entertain the residents with songs.

Treasa was truly a remarkable person in that her faith inspired her to serve those who are in need, in pain, and require guidance. Answering to that call, she found progressive, bold, and innovative solutions to solve those needs in the service of her beliefs that were used with tremendous success. Not only did she help many, but she also passed her impressive gifts to her beautiful family, whose contributions to society continue to bear fruit.

We will be honoring Treasa's life and service at the heritage Christian church Wednesday April 9, 2025, at 11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, consider donating to the Heritage Christian Church located at 655A Boxberry Hill Road, East Falmouth Ma. 02536.

Dearest Colleen and family,
My condolences for your mother´s passing. I will say, from what I know about your family, is that a mother´s legacy lives on thru her children and she has such an outstanding, successful family that God has truly acquired a remarkable angel. True Christians, of which your mother is, know in their hearts that death is not an end but a blessed life of eternity with God. God bless you and your family for such an outstanding legacy!
Yours, Rene G Brown
