1 Timothy 6:12

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Trent: we hung out together for a brief period in the late 90´s. We drove to San Francisco and saw the Phantom of the Opera at the Curran theater. I still have the photos of you overlooking the city of San Francisco from a high rise building. You enjoyed the cable cars and Golden Gate Bridge. You loved playing the poker tables in Reno and noted the "Sierra winds" in Nevada. I have no idea why you´re gone, and I am very sad to come across this obituary. I was impressed to meet someone who was so disciplined by faith. Rest now, and know that I´m remembering you fondly. You were a remarkable person.

I love you Dad. Thank you for teaching me about the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for showing me what the definition of resilience means. Thank you for showing me what being a man is supposed to look like. Your life wasn´t easy but that doesn´t mean that your intentions were not good. I know for a fact that not many people could have went on in this life with all you had to endure. I take comfort in knowing that one day we shall meet again, on the greatest stage of all in Heaven. You were an amazing baseball player who should have went pro. I love baseball because of you and always wanted to be like you. Rest in peace with our Father in heaven, until we meet again! Love you, your son Joshua
