I am stunned amongst belief . I am just learning of frat brother Troy Hunters passing . We were in communication earlier In the summer about discussing if he was going to attend our fraternity national convention or Konklave in Philadelphia. He had plans to attend but I had not communicated with him since June . I am really stunned and shocked . May Brother Troy rested in peace and to we see each other again in Chapter Invisible and the Shores of Phi Nu Pi♦

I am gonna really miss you. You were always friendly cheerful and smiling always greeting me with a smile and a hug. You were great ensuring my department had everything and I enjoyed serving on the suicide prevention committee and going to several outreach entities several years ago. You never complained. Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Prayers for the family has they grieve the loss of an amazing person. Troy was a light of ray at work. He was quiet but so friendly. He will be missed by his Memphis VAMC family.

I will miss you so much and our side bar conversations. I will miss us laughing together and having a good time. You always made me feel like I was family to you. I literally felt like I knew your family because we converse a lot about your family in Houston. I am definitely praying for the Hunter Family strength and healing in your time of loss. I will miss him. Especially that big smile. We talked with each other on the job 2 weeks ago. He said something very positive to me on the job that no one every mentioned to me. He seemed so happy and at peace that day. I know that he definitely loved people. My condolences to the family.

Troy was always happy and upbeat when I saw him. Never have I met anyone so dapper and smooth. I didn't work with Troy much but the small encounters left a lasting impression. He was truly an inspiration and he will be missed. Heaven has gained another Angel.

I had the pleasure of meeting Troy when I started working at the VA in May of this year. Not only was Troy a handsome young man, but, he was the gentleman of gentlemen! He carried himself with such poise, and was a warm soul. I watched, as the news of his passing came out, those who knew and loved him wail in pain, and was crushed myself.
To Troy's family: May each of you hold to God's unchanging hand as you try to navigate through these difficult days ahead. Embrace every memory of Troy, and allow them to bring you joy, laughter, and peace. Love and hugs to all who are hurting for such an untimely demise.

Troy always presented himself as a professional. Both his style and his work ethic spoke volumes about the type of gentleman he was. As he was transitioning to prosthetics, he spent a lot of time that others may not have spent making sure that he understood the service so that his contribution would be positive. He was an asset to the hospital and prosthetics, a great friend and frat brother. Troy will be missed.
