Troy Eugene Shanholtzer, age 55, passed away on July 26, 2024, in Hagerstown, MD. Born on September 25, 1968, in Frederick, Maryland,

Troy attended Linganore High School before dedicating his life to his passion as a self-employed auto mechanic. From the young age of 13, Troy was known for his exceptional skill in working on cars, a hobby that he cherished alongside caring for his beloved pets.

He is survived by a loving family including his sister, Tamara Duke; brother-in-law, Todd Duke; brother, Kelly Shanholtzer; sister-in-law, Tina Shanholtzer; and his nephews and nieces, Justin, Heather, Brittney Shanholtzer, and Mackenzie Doster, Dominick Walker. He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Shanholtzer, and mother, Joyce Shanholtzer (maiden name Witmer).

A Family service to honor Troy's life will be held on August 31st at 10:30 AM at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Stauffer Funeral Home in Frederick, MD, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Troy will be remembered for his spirit, mechanical genius, and the joy he brought to his family and friends.

I enjoyed conversations with Troy, mostly about cars. I remember him as a young boy, playing at Baker park hanging on pull up bars. Such a special young man. Sweet and kind, He will always be on my mine and in my heart. Love Aunt Judy
