Trulisa Smith Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 15, 2012.
Trulisa Jane Smith, age 43, of Florence, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012.
Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. Monday, April 16, at Lighthouse of Jesus Christ Church, St. Florian. The service will follow at 1 p.m. at the church, with Brother Levanuel Sherrill and Brother Jeff Street officiating. Interment will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Cousins will serve as pallbearers.
She was a 1987 graduate of Brooks High School and studied at UNA and Wallace State. She worked as an X-ray technician at Shoals Hospital. Trulisa was unselfish and an inspiration to many people. Instead of feeling sorry for herself, she gave hope to others in their suffering. Growing up with Truitt and her cousins made her tough and able to withstand anything. She considered Blaine and Brittany her "babies."
She was preceded in death by her father, Rayburn Smith; maternal grandparents, Matthew and Mable Russell; paternal grandparents, Logan and Eathel Smith.
Survivors include mother, Barbara J. Smith, of Florence; brother, Truitt Smith (Tammy), of Florence; nephew, Blaine Smith; niece, Brittany Smith; aunts and uncles.
Special thanks to her family, friend and special doctor, Lyman Mitchell.

I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR THE SAD NEWS. I WAS HER NURSE ON 2ND ON THURSDAY. SHE WAS A VERY SPECIAL PATIENT FOR ME. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH THE ENTIRE FAMILY AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW IT WAS AN HONOR TO BE ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF HER FOR THE ONE DAY. JUST KNOW THAT SHE IS IN A BETTER PLACE NOW WITH NO PAIN AND SUFFERING. SHE IS SMILING DOWN ON ALL OF YOU AND THANKING YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL, LOVING CARE YOU GAVE HER WHILE SHE WAS HERE.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you all even though we have not been together in a few years we often still remember all the fun times that we had together....I was thinking about Lisa last night and how I know you all are so sad and words cant bring her back, but just THINK of where she is... Barbara I remember you telling me of how she was Daddy's girl, well Daddy and the Father have her now! How sweet is that! WOW!
