Tyler David Sapp

Tyler David Sapp, son of Heather Marie Langford and the late David Greenlaw Sapp, was born on November 16, 1989, in Provo, Utah, left this world unexpectedly on November 13, 2023, in Los Angeles, California.

Tyler was a soul deeply connected to the rhythm of life, with a profound love for music. A self-taught musician, he mastered the guitar and keyboard, pouring his heart into the creation of countless songs. He was in various bands that played live gigs and had recordings in high school and shortly after. He also deejayed at various clubs in Utah eventually embarking on solo song projects.

His musical talents were so remarkable that he was under contract with PML Records and posting training videos and reviews for Unison Audio at the time of his death - a testament to the depth and originality of his compositions. Tyler attended Viewmont High School and the University of Utah, majoring in film and entertainment arts. He also attended the Salt Lake DJ & Production School, studying audio engineering, mixing/mastering, music production, sound design, sound engineering, and live deejaying. He had recently found a new passion for and had become very talented in digital art.

Tyler was a passionate, thoughtful, fun, and very caring soul, yet he faced a personal struggle with addiction throughout much of his life. In the midst of these challenges, he often chose to confront his demons alone. His journey was marked by both triumphs and tribulations, a testament to the complexity of the human experience.

Tyler was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John A Langford, Jr. and Marie Gay Langford and father, David Sapp, whom he will be interned next to as a way to honor their bond. He is survived by his mother Heather Marie Langford and his sister Brittany Marie Sapp Brimley. And also by his paternal grandparents, Edwin and Ellagene Sapp, of Owings, Maryland.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
