Tyrone Norfleet, Sr.

Tyrone Norfleet, Sr., age 59, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 after a short illness at Christiana Hospital.

He was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Doris Norfleet and the late Simon Fair and graduated from Dundalk HS in 1972. Shortly after graduation, Tyrone began his 24 year career in the army as a medic and served during Operation Desert Storm, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church of the Atonement and a missionary of the newly formed Hope Community United Methodist Church.

Tyrone is survived by his wife of 16 years, Merry Norfleet. He was a devoted father to his sons, Jaeden at home and Tyrone, Jr. of Alexandria, VA. Also surviving Tyrone is his daughter, Tiffany of Baltimore, MD; 2 grandchildren and a brother, Maurice of Copperas Cove, TX.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 26, at 11am, at the United Methodist Church of the Atonement, 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE, where friends may call after 10am. Burial will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
