Tyson Gillins Obituary
He was born June 17, 1987 in Blackfoot, Idaho the son of Gary Lamar Gillins and Angie Peterson.
Tyson graduated from Blackfoot High School in 2005 where he wrestled for the Blackfoot team.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Tyson always had a big smile on his face and everyone loved being in his company. He loved tinkering and working on cars, drawing, music and liked collecting antique cars and car parts.
He worked for Spudnik Manufacturing. He also worked in automotive sales with Team Automotive in Blackfoot and The Smith Group.
He is survived by his parents, Gary Gillins of Idaho Falls, and Angie (Jim) Powell of Blackfoot; brother Shevy Cache Gillins of Blackfoot, Idaho and sister, Harli (Justin) Lake of Smithfield, UT; He loved his nephew Cache Justin Lake and had an amazing second family in Stan Bowman and his sons Race and Bond. Also surviving are grandparents, Norman and Irene Peterson and Phyllis and Bill Kelly.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Dale Gillins.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Blackfoot West LDS Stake Center, 101 N. 900 W.
The family will meet with friends on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.

Gillins Family, Tyson came up to me a couple of months ago at church and spoke to me briefly. I hadn't seen him since he was in the 8th grade in my English class. I don't think he particularly enjoyed English, but what a fine, sweet, kind, respectful young man, to show me that respect.

I didn't know Tyson very well, but whenever I saw him he was always smiling and very amicable. A great guy. Wherever he is right now, I bet he's thinking about you while serving and befriending others :)

I didn't know Tyson well but I worked with him for a short time and he was always so unbelievably nice and friendly! Always there to offer a smile and a hello and was always willing to help anyone!
