Umberto Maieli Obituary
Eighteen years ago, Elio and his beloved wife Gabriella relocated to Venice, Florida, from Hartford, Connecticut, where they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Elio had a deep passion for music and could often be found singing with joy at every opportunity. He also delighted in playing cards and reciting "A Livella," a beloved Italian poem by Toto.
Elio was preceded in death by his wife Gabriella; his son Alessandro Maieli of Glastonbury, Connecticut; and his granddaughter Rachael Maieli, also of Glastonbury. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure his memory: his sons Massimo Maieli of Sarasota, Florida, and Carmine Maieli of Venice, Florida; his daughter-in-law Carmelita Maieli; granddaughters Jessica (Matthew) Violante of Parrish, Florida, and Ivana Maieli of Osprey, Florida; grandsons Brandon and Jordan Maieli of Hartford, Connecticut; and great-grandchildren Gioia Mia and Giacomo Violante of Parrish.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on January 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Venice Memorial Gardens, located at 1950 Center Road in Venice. A reception will follow to honor Elio's life and the joy he brought to those around him.
Elio's legacy of love for music, family, and tradition will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to his loved ones during this time of loss.
