Unadine L. Wiseman, of Montrose, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, after a long-
fought battle with Lymphoma. Her husband of 59 years, Walter Wiseman, died on February 23,
2008.
Born on October 21, 1929 to the late Homer and Laura Collum, she was raised on a farm
in Uniondale until 1949 when she married Walter. They owned and operated their own farm until

one of the “Church Chicks”.
Many friends and family members received beautiful crocheted afghans and doilies that
Unadine made. She also made apple sauce and strawberry jelly every year with her family. She
enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, and was always ready for a shopping trip. She especially
loved watching the kids swimming and having fun in the backyard pool.
Unadine was a one-in-a-million lady with a heart of gold. She always had a smile, a hug
and kiss for everyone. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Unadine was predeceased by her sisters Alberta Huff and Hilda Ramer, brother Mahlon
Collum, and her special friend Harold “Bert” Bennett.

in-law Vickie and George Smith, daughter Beth Lawrence and companion Bob Oakes.

Lawrence (and Daniel James), Brittney Sudigala, and Courtney Lawrence (and Richard Hull III.)
Great grandchildren are Braden, Nora and Owen Wiseman, Seth and Ethan Kazinski,

I am so sorry that I did not learn of Unadine's death until after her funeral. Unadine and I worked together for many years in the Susq. County Republican party. During my years as County Chairman no one did more to assist me than Unadine. If I asked her for something, I could be assured that it would be done, and done well. Most often she would be the one to volunteer to help me on every event or project we had. She and Walter were gems. I would sit in their kitchen and talk about our families, our lives and, of course, the Republican party. If it was summer I would enjoy some fresh baked pie or other ddessert, and then I would leave with some of the great produce from that backyard garden. She had that Collum Family touch when it came to agriculture. Her brother Mahlon and his wife, Melba, were long time friends of mine. Please accept my condolences at the loss of a great lady and a good friend. My life was better by having known Unadine and Walter, and the world is a little less pleasant without them.

Our thoughts & prayers are with the family of such a beautiful, special lady!! May God bless & sustain you & grant to you peace, strength, courage, grace, love, hope, serenity & a strong faith. One "glorious Day" in God's timing we shall all join on that "Golden Shore" where Unadine has gone to have a great "Reunion" with Walt & other loved one's gone before her. What a "Reunion" it must have been!! Matthew 10:30 says that every hair on our heads are numbered & we can be sure that our names are written in His book. Ecclesiastes 3 says that there is a time & a place & a reason & a season for everything & He is in control.
God bless, comfort & cherish you with all your precious memories to hold near & dear to your hearts!! Luv & Hugs to all!!

It was a joy to know Unadine. I met her through BPW. She was a very dedicated legislative chair for many years. A long happy life - and so full of life! We'll all miss her.
