I of course remember Valerie, Waylon and her family from Redeemer but also remember Valerie from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State) where we would sometimes get on our bikes and ride to the river without a care in the world. I will always have those vivid memories of her. My heart cannot express the words for your loss. Please know you have many thinking and praying for all of you. Valerie was a wonderful, special person and you can rest assured she is spreading her special light in heaven.

I prayed often for Valerie. I'm praying now for her sister, Sandra, who loved her and asked me for prayers for her sister and her family. For the family, I feel sorrow, but for Valerie, I feel happiness. She is relieved of her battle against a terrible disease that loses so seldom. After reading her obituary, her death doesn't seem fair to the family, to her friends, and to her church. Perhaps God and I will be able to discuss His plan someday. The only reason for her passing for me is that she is a peace and can rest from her battle. I am sad for all with her passing. I do believe that in the quiet moments of our mind, we can hear the rejoicing of the heavenly hosts at her arrival at her new home.

I can only imagine how happy Valerie was to be in God's arms! No more stress, no more pain, no more fear! Just safe and warm in God's arms. What a wonderful family. I have know then most of my life. Attended church as a kid and throughout school. She was such a sweet girl. Her Mother is a rock as well as her Dad. My precious sister has touched so many lives with her loving and caring heart, Those that knew her loved her. She blessed countless lives. A devout Christian and prayer warrior. Her children reflect her strong beliefs in God as she brought them up in a Christian home. Her creativity made every event, holiday, birthday, wedding, special and unique. Such a way she had with arranging flowers. Breathtaking! She was gifted in designing and crafting jewelry (taught herself the craft) and developed a successful business. Great cook! Valerie loved her husband, Waylon, so much. Loved her children and grandchildren. Loved her parents and family. Valerie, my baby sister, you will be missed but only until we join you again in a glorious reunion in heaven.
