Valerie I really miss you. Every time I see Tiffany Haddish I think of you. You were my mentor and friend. We had many late office discussions. I remember you would always say we have to laugh to keep from crying when dealing with crazy people. Your mantra was always "LIVE LAUGH LOVE". Thanks for your heart and love for life. Missing you. Girls night out isn't the same. ❤❤❤❤

WOW!!! Can't believe its been 7 years since Val's been gone. Valerie will always BE one of my closest sistah-girlfriends. Each time I look at my wedding video - I see her - telling the story of how me and my husband first dated - because she was there.. and she will always be with us. Her Home Going Celebration was so inspirational. To see all the organizations and lives she touched was so humbling. I'm so honored and blessed that she touched my life while she was here on this earth!!! Still can't believe she's gone but she will stay in my heart forever. I love you Val Carter - now and forever. Love Your Sistah... Lawan

I am sorry that I am just now learning of the passing of Valerie Carter. Valerie use to take my strength training class at Coca Cola HealthWorks when I worked at the company. She was always a wonderful smile and an encouraging part of those who attended my class. I am sorry to hear that she is no longer with us but I wanted to express to her family and friends what a wonderful kind spirit she was to me when I would see her. I never once saw her without that great smile. I know she will be greatly missed.

The Plan of the Master Weaver
Our lives are but fine weavings that God and we prepare,
Each life becomes a fabric planned and fashioned in God's care.
We may not always see just how the weavings intertwine,
But we must trust the Master's hand and follow God's design,
For God can view the pattern upon the upper side,
While we must look from underneath and trust in God to guide...
Sometimes a strand of sorrow is added to the plan,
And though it's difficult for us, we still must understand
That it's God who fills the shuttle; it's God who knows what's best,
So we must weave in patience and leave to God the rest...
Not till the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why --
The dark threads are as needed in the Weaver's skilful hand
As the threads of gold and silver in the pattern God has planned.

To the Valerie Carter family...
With special condolences to Jazz and Shuwana...
Words cannot express the love and tremendous bond Lorenzo and I have with Valerie. Our friendship spans more than 20 years and will continues until we take our last breath.
Our hearts are so very heavy...words cannot express the sorrow we feel knowing that our dear..dear friend and sister is gone. She will truly be missed.
Valerie was there when Lorenzo and I connected...Valerie was there to not only dance at our wedding in 2011, but she made our day the most beautiful day because of her love and committed friendship through thick and thin....for the two of us. She was our MC and told our story as no one else knew it..
We love her, we honor her and we will cherish each day that God blessed us to know her. May God Bless you and Keep you through this difficult time.
