Valerie Bergeron Chauvin

Chauvin, Valerie Bergeron A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, at her home in Union. She was 63, a homemaker and a native of White Castle. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1. Visiting at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, with the Rev. Frank Uter, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Carl J. Chauvin, Union; two daughters and three sons-in-law, Terri and Shaun Degnan, Prairie Village, Kan., Christy and Chad Bourgeois, Paulina, and Michael Blanchard, St. Amant; special godson, Joseph Mitchell of Corpus Christi, Texas; six grandchildren, Casey Degnan, Kori and Kolby Bourgeois, and Kayla, Regan and Payton Blanchard; four sisters, Alice Robert, Elaine Gautreaux, Angela Schexnaydre and Debra Andermann; and two brothers, Johnny and Dennis Bergeron. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Bergeron and Marie Landry Bergeron; daughter, Kelly Blanchard; and brother, Jimmy Bergeron.
