VALERIE CELESTIN GEORGE

Valerie was born on February17, 1955 in Baton Rouge Louisiana and passed away July 14, 2025 in Euless, Texas. She was the seventh of ten children. Six of the children were born six years before the last four. Valerie was the eldest of "The Four Little Ones", and she ruled the roost!

From a young age, she was very intelligent. Consequently, it was hard for her to turn off her brain and just relax. So, she found things to occupy herself. She started working when she was in high school and as an adult went on to work in the brokerage and mortgage industries. She continued working until she became ill and could not go into the office. When not working, she raised her son who was the love of her life. She also painted with watercolors, was a photographer and wrote poetry.

She was predeceased by her parents, Violet Lafleur Celestin and Robert Amadee Celestin, her brother, Robert Amedee Celestin, Jr., her sister, Yvette Celestin Daniels, her sister-in-law, Jean Street Gnatt Celestin, her brothers-in-law, Henry Frank Naskrent, Robert Stanley Snoyer, Michael Dean Emmerling, and Robert Paul Daniels, her nephew, Mark Millien, and her niece, Catherine Millien Adams.

She is survived by her son, Joshua Philip Mumme (Emily George), her sisters, Sandra Celestin Raymond (Charles Raymond), Sherryle Ann Celestin Naskrent, Ginger Sue Celestin, Ellen Kay Celestin Snoyer, Candy Ceclia Celestin Legeai (Randall Joseph Legeai), Stephanie Elizabeth Celestin Emmerling, and Theresa Claire Celestin, her nieces, Wendy Millian Carter (Billy Carter), Rachelle Celestin, Tara Celestin, Danielle Ceclia Legeai (Shannon Baird), Victoria Elizabeth Emmerling (Robert Kenton Denny), Crystal Ann Daniels DeVaux (Kyle DeVaux), and nephews, Aaron Millien (Barbara Millien), Robert Brent Lehner (Jeanne Acosta Lehner), and Eron Christopher Emmerling.

We miss her and will always love her.
