My name is Cristina and together with all of our Wed night group at John and Anna's, I have come to know a bit of Van and his courage as well as his very strong, steadfast and loving family. It has been a bittersweet blessing to get to join in your prayers over the months. We glorify God for the life that He gave to Van and give thanks and praise to the Lord Jesus for his gracious Presence in all of your lives. May The Lord bless you and keep you, and may He continue to make His Face to shine upon you and give you comfort and great peace one day after the other.

I am a member of South Church. John & Anna provided inspiration reflecting Christ and teaching us to pray without ceasing. Keeping Van ever present in our minds. Lifting up all of the loveones so devoted to his care. I never was provided the privilege of meeting Van,however; God knew every hair on his head. The love that John & Anna revealed in stories left an imprint of Van on my heart. I have a difficult time with death. I am selfish and want Van to be here. I wrestle with God, I know in my head that he is no longer in pain. That it is all to Gods glory, but it is my heart that is selfish & has trouble letting go. Know that many people that prayed for Van & family & will continue to pray knowing that God will provide the comfort that mere words from a stranger can not. It was an honor to pray for Van and we were all blessed as a result.

My heart is full of sorrow & I have cried many tears for you. We didn't always agree on things but that was us. You gave your all and we share a beautiful daughter & granddaughter and I Thank You!!! To Noris & Evelyn I'm so sorry for your loss but I believe in my heart that he will always be here and LOVED YOU VERY MUCH. He was needed elsewhere & had to go as he always did.
