Mr. Piliotis was a dear friend to my late father. I will always remember their lively intellectual exchanges, and how Mr. Piliotis and all his family helped him--and us-- in tough times. This is such a loss for so many people. My sincerest condolences to Mrs. Piliotis and all his family.

On behalf of the entire Karagiannis family I would like to express our deepest sympathies for your loss. To Thea Chrisa, Kosta and Eugenia I know that you have lost a pillar to your family. I was deeply saddened to hear about Theo Vasilis's passing. From sailing in Pilos to joking around and enjoying a bottle or two of Theo Vasili's wine ('the nectar of the god's' as it was explained to me) I had the honour of knowing such a decent man. Though we lived in different cities he was an inspiration to me personally and my family. I will always remember to put things in perspective and enjoy life as Theo Vasili did. Please know that our thoughts our with you.

A good guy who has left us far too early. How well I remember working and running with him. He was always a fun person who could give and take "locker room" humour and insults! A great runner who always lamented his aches and pains which we attributed to his vivid imagination. His memory and legacy remains strong...my deepest sympathies.
