BOYCE _ Velma Loretta It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, beloved partner of Dave Capaldi, grandma, great-grandma and friend. She passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 21, 2005 with her family by her side after a lengthy and courageous battle. Her companionship, love, support and sense of humour will be dearly missed by her best friend Dave; children, Bette (Ernie), Greg (Ilona), Bryan (Jan), Barb (Ken), Brenda (Peter) and Randy (Elda); grandchildren, Brianna (Randy), Jen, Mandy (Jason), Stacey, Lindsay, Corey (Rachel), Chris, Chad, Rena, Devron (Jordan), Kirsten (Cole), Vanessa (Jim), Melissa (Dan) and Jackie; and her great-grandchildren, her greatest joy, "the wee-angels" Zoe and Zander. She will be remembered by her sisters, Noreen, Jean (Don), Yvonne (Dave); and brothers, Earle (Hazel) and Lloyd (Ver-Anne). Velma was predeceased by her husband and our father, Orval; parents Walter and Clemmie; sister Gertie; and daughter-in-law Sandra. Velma had a passion for life, enjoyed traveling while her health allowed, dancing and playing cards. She was the life of every party. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to ALL the staff of Unit 58 in the Rockyview Hospital for all the compassionate care and support, which so improved the quality of her life in her last few months. She loved you all. A Celebration of Velma's Life will be held in the chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Velma's name to the Canadian Cancer Society (Second Floor, 215 - 12 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 1A2).
