Vera Ricke Obituary
Ricke, Vera Mae (Schuler),
93 years of age died March 14, 2015.
Vera was born in Louisville, November 13, 1921 to the late Louis and Ida (Zehnder) Schuler. She moved to Jeffersonville, IN. at a very early age and graduated from Jeffersonville High School and Louisville Business College. Vera was a lifelong devout catholic and a founding member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 ½ years, Francis E. "Bud" Ricke, her parents and seven brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include three children, Larry Ricke and wife Ann, Michael Ricke and wife Tammie all of New Albany and Barbara Ricke, Lexington, KY; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jeanne Andres, Fort Wayne, IN, Marilyn Zurschmiede, Indianapolis, IN, Jerome "Jeep" Schuler, Jeffersonville, IN.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm Tuesday March 17, 2015, at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.

Mike And Larry. My prayers are with you at this time. I will not be able to attend her service since I will Not be back to New Albany until March 20.
