Verania Alvarez Obituary
Verania Esperanza Alvarez of Saint Nicholas De Bari ,Cuba joined the Lord on December 14, 2016 in White Plains, NY at the age of 84. She proudly lived in White Plains New York for 56 years.
She was the daughter of Carlos and Carmelina.
Verania was predeceased by her husband of 50 plus years Armando. She is survived by her two sons, Armando Jr. (married to Teresita (d)) and Franklin (married to Amelia), her three grandchildren, Cameron, Daniel (married to Kara), David (married to Meredith), her two great grandchildren Josiah and Theodore.
Verania was sister to Manuel (married to Nora), Geraldo (married to Rolaida), Juan (d) (married to Dulce) and Odalys (married to Heliodoro).
Verania had a love for children. She was primary school teacher in Cuba, She was a small business owner and provided child care services for over 45 years in White Plains. She provided care and love for over 250 children during that period. She was a devout Christian and a frequent member of the White Plains Senior Center. She was an "Avon Lady" for over 50 years often joining the circle of honor for her sales and customer service.
Special thanks to her special caregivers of over five years Blanca and Angela.
Funeral Mass will be on Monday December 19, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Saint John's the Evangelist Church 146 Hamilton Avenue White Plains New York, 10606
