Verdena Barry, 92, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, Florida.

She was born in Rineyville, Kentucky and came to Brevard County in 1953 from Savannah, Georgia. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in West Melbourne, Florida.

Survivors include her daughter; Linda Gayle (Claude) of Palm Bay, Florida, grandson; Damien Gayle of Melbourne, Florida, great grandson; Trent Gayle of Palm Bay, Florida, brother; Melvin Mingus of Bardstown, Kentucky, sisters; Frances Dowell of Louisville, Kentucky and Iva Crank of Louisville, Kentucky and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband; Allen Barry.

A service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 3pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida.

Donations may be made to William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Pkwy, Palm Bay, FL. 32907
