Verna "Lois" (Wiggins) Getz, 93 of Rushville, passed away August 11, 2025 at Morristown Manor. She was born May 26, 1932 in Laurel County, KY to the late Earl and Sally (Gill) Wiggins. Lois graduated high school at the age of 16 in Kentucky. She married Nick Getz on May 13, 1950 and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2010. Lois worked at Millers Drive-In for over 16 years and then stayed home with her children. She was a member of Morristown Christian Church and recently attended Rushville Church of Christ. Lois enjoyed spending time with family and working in the yard.

Lois is survived by her son, Greg Getz of Rushville and daughter, Nikki (Jack) Griffin of Indianapolis; brother, Russell (Sue) Wiggins of Ohio and sister, Barbara Thomas of Ohio. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Brittany (Jason) Brown, David (Nicole) Griffin, Stacia Getz and Anicia (Landon) Fox; great-grandchildren, Griffin Brown, Grayson Brown, Jack Griffin and Bo Griffin.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, James Wiggins and sister, Faye Elam.

Services will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 at 1 PM in Moster Mortuary with Pastor Jim Coyle presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 11AM until the time of service in the mortuary. Burial will be held in Asbury Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Rushville Church of Christ.
