Vernon Biddington

Vernon F. Biddington Jr., 74, of New Hope, PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He died peacefully at home with his family at his side. Vernon was born in Philadelphia, PA, where he was raised by his late parents Vernon Sr. and Emily (Wichterman) Biddington. After graduating from Bensalem High School, he enlisted for military service and was proud to have served in the United States Marine Corps. During his career, he rose to the honorable rank of Sergeant and served in the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged from the Corps, he later joined the Local 420 Steamfitters union and went on to work for mechanical contractors Willard and Elliot Lewis. Vernon was a dedicated husband, father, and devout patriot. He will be remembered most for his love of his family and his unwavering dedication to his country. Vernon is survived by his wife, Frances, his daughters and their husbands, Heather and Robert Stauffer and Christine and Gary McCulla, and his four grandchildren, Madeline and Ryan Stauffer and Gary Tyler and Alexa McCulla. Vernon was predeceased by his sister, Arlene R. Cassel and her husband, Joseph Cassel. Vernon will be laid to rest graveside, 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA.
