Veronica Summers Obituary
Veronica raised three children in York, two daughters and a son. During mid-life, "Ronnie"pursued a nursing career. She was very proud of her work at York Hospital, and in home health nursing, as well as her volunteer time as spokesperson for screenings for the prevention of colon cancer which she spoke about on local television. Veronica also spent over 20 years working with her husband in his successful podiatry practice.
She was an exceptional seamstress and could design and sew anything, a skill she learned from her grandmother, and she passed on to some of her granddaughters.
Burial was by Etzweiler Funeral Home of York in Fairview Cemetery Wrightsville, Pa.
Memorial gifts can be sent to: Student Nursing Association of Pennsylvania at York College (SNAP) York, Pa. or to Access of York in support of abused women and children.

Ronnie and I grew up together in Parkvillage with freedom that children don't enjoy today. Trick or treating without parents. Playing hide and seek under the street lights, walking to school around the lake, up over the park to first grade and later...climbing the hill to 7th.
We tried smoking straws and starting a snowball business, both unsuccessful. As time would have it, our paths took us elsewhere, but I cherish ever moment I had with that happy, giggling childhood friend, Ronnie.
